Kick-start your career with a Dunedin Canmore Environmental Apprenticeship

Young people from Dunedin Canmore communities are being given a chance to change their lives thanks to new environmental apprenticeships.

NETs Edinburgh

Three 16-19 year olds will get a wage and full training in customer service, operating machinery safely and looking after the environment. They will also work towards an SVQ in Frontline Environmental Services.

The apprenticeships - which last for two years – will see the successful applicants working with Dunedin Canmore’s in-house environmental teams across communities in Edinburgh as well as the Lothians and Fife.

They will also get a generous benefits package and help to find a full-time job when the apprenticeship finishes.
Young people don’t need any formal qualifications to apply.

Hazel Young, Dunedin Canmore Managing Director, said: “Our neighbourhood environmental teams launched earlier this year and have already made a huge difference to our communities by keeping them clean and green.

“These new apprenticeships will help give young people in our communities a step up and an opportunity to begin a rewarding career.”
